Facilities

Science Laboratories

The High School Department has three Science Laboratory rooms - the Biology, the Chemistry and the Physics Laboratories. They are situated on the second floor of St. Hildegard Building. The stockroom located adjacent to the laboratories is supervised by a laboratory technician.

TLE Laboratories

The TLE laboratories include the Sewing Room, St. Zita Food Lab. and Computer Laboratory. The Sewing Room is located at the basement of the St. Benedict Building while the St. Zita Food Lab. and the Computer Laboratory are in the M. Godfrieda Baumeister, OSB Building.

Covered Court

There are two covered courts: the Sr. Ildephonsa Covered Court (SICC) adjacent to the gym and the Sr. Firmina Covered Court (SFCC) located at the back of the St. Hildegard Building. These are used for P.E. classes, sports activities and departmental activities.

Maryville Hall Maryville Hall

The Maryville Hall is an air-conditioned hall used as a venue for programs and convocations. It can accommodate 500 persons.

St. Cecilia's Hall

The Music Department provides lessons in voice and piano. This is in keeping with the Scholastican heritage for music education. This hall is a facility use by the Music Department in providing voice and piano lessons.

Gymnasium

The gym is used for P.E. and sports activities, special assemblies, Holy Masses and special institutional celebrations. Reservation forms are available at the high school office.

P.E. Equipment Room

Athletic equipment is for the use of the P.E. classes under the supervision of the P.E. teachers. Outside P.E. classes, students and teachers may avail of the privilege of using the equipment after securing the necessary permission.

The Canteen / Cafeteria

The canteen serves snacks at recess and regular meals at lunch time. School supplies are also made available to the students. It is equipped with drinking fountains, washing areas and comfort rooms. Students are encouraged to maintain proper behavior and cleanliness in the canteen. They have to form their lines and wait patiently for their turn to be served.

The clinic, located at the gound floor of the Sacred Heart Building, offers medical and dental services to students and school personnel.

The primary responsibility of the school clinic is to give first aid in case of emergency and to treat minor injuries and illness in school. A registered nurse is on duty during regular school hours. A part-time school physician and dentist come only during their scheduled clinic hours.

Services

Spiritual Services

The students at SSA-B are encouraged and guided to develop a personal love for God by regular participation in liturgical activities of the school. Confessions and Holy Masses are made available to the students. A spiritual recollection is scheduled for junior high students, Confirmation rite for Grade 9 and a retreat for senior high students during the year.

The High School Library is located on the ground floor of the St. Hildegard Bldg. Its collection includes books, magazines and periodicals, and other reference materials for the use of the school population. The facility also provides an Internet Center for research work. The library is open from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays.

Audio-Visual Services

It is used for activities which require audio-visual facilities and equipment. Reservations and arrangements for its use are part of the EMC services.

Guidance and Counseling Services

The Guidance Center is located at the second floor of the Sacred Heart Building. It is concerned with the welfare of the individual student. Through the varied services it renders, the Guidance Center assists the students in adjusting to their school and home environment, in understanding and accepting their strengths and weaknesses, and in making vocational, occupational and educational plans for the future.
