Grade School

- Objectives

The Grade School, conscious of the mission of SSA-B as a Catholic school in contemporary Philippines, aims to graduate young boys and girls who:

  • Witness to Christ through intelligent and active participation in the liturgical life of Christian community
  • Possess desirable habits and attitudes toward study, work and play
  • Grow in the awareness of their social environment and readily respond to the needy, especially the destitute and marginalized women and children
  • Endlessly search for truth in oneself and grow in becoming heralds of justice, accountability, peace and reconciliation at home, in school and in society
  • Appreciate and cultivate love for learning
  • Practice the balance of Ora et Labora and grow daily in discipline, reverence and mindfulness, moderation and simplicity, humility and obedience, joyful service and gratitude
  • Demonstrate genuine love of country and responsible citizenship by cherishing Filipino cultural heritage and taking an active part in nation building
  • Relate well with oneself and with others respecting the dignity of persons and helping transform the world into a better and happier place for all God’s children
  • Exercise critical thinking, discriminate values, make wise judgments and sound decisions for the common good
  • Communicate their thoughts, ideas and opinions clearly and adequately yet with utmost courtesy and politeness
  • Keep themselves physically fit so as to live a happy and meaningful life
  • Develop their God-given potentials, accept their limitations and shortcomings and work towards integrity and self-improvement
  • Care for the earth and its resources and all of God’s creation

The Grade School strives to realize its goals by:

  • Setting up school policies and regulations that cultivate self-discipline and strong sense of responsibility to forge young characters of faith and action
  • Maintaining a curricular and co-curricular program designed to create a wholesome learning environment as well as various opportunities for physical, intellectual, moral and socio-cultural pursuits
  • Establishing a healthy rhythm of life for children, particularly that of ORA et LABORA, a creative balance of prayer, work/ study, and play
